- Are conducted during the summer break (June–August).
- Have a hands–on educational component or involve small–group learning and peer–to–peer teaching.
All interested ESG first–year students, sophomores, or juniors are invited to apply. Recent projects include:
- Designing an app to assess Black maternal health outcomes.
- Working to bring education and technology to incarcerated individuals in the Greater Boston area.
- Creating a voice–to–text–to–braille system to aid the deaf and blind.
- Building a library for a grade school in Nepal.
- Developing STEM curricula for schools in rural Nicaragua.
You can find a set of guidelines for project proposals on the PKG Center website here.
Applications are due March 19, 2025, at 9:00am and should be submitted directly to the PKG Center. We strongly encourage you to speak with Bettina McGimsey about any project you are considering.
