All seminars are six units P/F credit.
Seminars are not limited to ESG students - any MIT student may enroll in them!

• SP.233: Prcision Instruments for Medicine and Industry (Prof. Alex Slocoum)
  

Meet regularly (Wednesdays 6-8 PM during pasta dinner at ESG) with the ESG Director’s research group to learn about precision machines.  Projects range from micromachines, medical devices, and machine tools to green energy machines (solar thermal, windmill gearboxes).  Each week, several of Professor Slocum’s graduate students will present an update on their research to the group.  Each student will be required to summarize one of the topics presented that they find most interesting.  Advisees who are very interested in any of the projects will be encouraged to pursue a UROP in Professor Slocum’s lab.
